Pantene Pro-V Severe Damage Care (Japan) haircare arrived in Singapore!

Heard much about the raves of Pantene Pro-V Severe Damage Care (Japan) haircare and finally it has arrived in Singapore's Watsons.

This range is specially meant for those who chemically-treat, or use curling tongs or flat iron on their hair on regular basis. The formula also target at the damage repairing power which penetrates into the core of each hair and repairs the damage. Also saw the demonstration done in 女人我最大 and was very eager to get my hands on these despite having the impression that Pantene's product is not as great as what is advertised (I tried the Clinicare range that 大S recommended but wasn't impressed after using).

Shampoo

Texture: 7/10 - Light yellowish creamy colour. Easy to lather and wash off. I use this as the second cleansing (I usually double cleanse hair).
Scent: 8/10 - Pleasant. I feel Pantene's product usually smell pleasant but not memorable, this also has the same feel.
Result: 8/10 - Hair and scalp is clean and did not leave a silicon feel.
Price: 6/10 - $10-ish. Affordable.
Overall: 7.5/10 - The result from this product is not impressive.
Re-purchase? No. I would think many product out there could do the same. Would rather try others that I have not tried.

Conditioner - (To be reviewed later)

Leave-on treatment
Texture: 7/10 - Yellowish creamy colour. I would prefer something lighter in weight.
Scent: 8/10 - Pleasant. Scent is a little stronger than the shampoo but does not linger long.
Result: 8/10 - Hair don't feel too dry nor very moisturised after blowdrying. Next day after curling hair with flat iron, hair feels less frizzy.
Price: 6/10 - $10-ish. Affordable.
Overall: 7.5/10 - It's an okay product.
Re-purchase? No. It wasn't fantastic nor lousy. I would prefer to try other products.

Day trip to JB

Had a day trip to JB for some makan session 😋

Started the day at 9am. The queue at Woodlands custom was still bearable.

Headed to 鸭王 (Restoran Ya Wang) for brunch. It was about 10 minutes walk from JB sentral.

Herbal roast duck

Roast pork and char siew

Nai Bai (奶白菜)

Claypot tofu with seafood

Was quite full after the brunch so we decide to head to Hiap Joo Bakery before going for coffee. It was about 5 minutes walk from Restoran Ya Wang.

There was a long queue when we arrived. Queued for at least 30 minutes and only managed to buy a small pack of banana cake and some bread. Hiap Joo is famous for their traditional way of making banana cake and bread. The banana cake is what people usually queued for. So many times, the queue is due to waiting time for the new batch of cake to be baked. I find the cake so-so. Will not queue for it.

Then, we walked over to Bev C to cool down.

This is how it looks like on 2nd floor where the cafe is.

Looking down to 1st floor where the apparel/accessories shop is.

Can't remember what is this but it should be strawberry smoothie.

Espresso ice cube drink with milk

Espresso ice cube with matcha milk and granola

Lychee soda. Love how they make the simple drink looks instagrammable.

Earl Grey Dark Chocolate cake. It was good that this cake was shared as it will be too jelak if eaten alone.

Was so full after Bev C. So, head to KSL City for some shopping and movie.

Just before dinner time, head to Danga Bay for some seafood dinner.

Forgot the name of this vegetable but it is nice. 😋

Roast chicken (half). Juicy!

Prawn in herbal soup

Steamed fish

It was really very worth eating at JB as the exchange rate really make spending so affordable. No wonder so many Singaporean love to go JB.

Tokyu Hands Haul! (12 Jul 2017)

My colleague gave me the Coroku White Snow Fairy facial mask to try as she say it is very good. After trying once, indeed, it has instant brightening effect! So, I head down to Tokyu Hands to get a box! 😊
My colleague and I went to Tokyu Hands together and saw the White Conc body shampoo and body scrub. The elderly promoter told us that alot of people bought these and always out of stock. With the typical Singaporean mentality, both of us bought both to try. 😆 Will do a detailed review after trying.

Shangpree mask haul! (28 Jun 2017)

Chance upon Shangpree mask when I was surfing the Youtube. This is a professional salon spa brand in Korea and it claims that many Korean celebrities visit the salon whenever they need to do facial. As a mask addict, how can I miss the chance to try?! 😈

So I went to Qoo10 and bought these!
(From Top, Left to Right): Gold Premium Modelling mask (2 boxes, $17.90 each), Charcoal Hydrogel Mask ($6.45/pc), Anti-bacterial gold spatula set ($9.90)

As it seems to be a hassle to use the gold mask, it will take me some time before I will try it. 😝
Nevertheless, will share my experience after use. Stay tune!

Sasa haul! (20 Jun 2017)

My colleague has been raving about Saborino morning mask ($20+). After much consideration (cos I am skeptical on any product that is all-in-one), I decided to give it a try. So I head down to Sasa during lunch.

Me being me, I won't be walking out of Sasa with just one product. 😆 Sasa staff recommended to try the Cyber Colors Black Label mask which is exclusive to Sasa in Singapore. She gave me some samples (Suisse Programme Recovery Eye Gel cream and Cellular Revitalising Eye mask) to try too! As I am in the lookout for anti-aging/firming mask, I thought of giving it a try since it is on promotion (Box of 5 @ $30, UP is $40+). The mask claims to firm, whiten and hydrate the skin. Sounds amazing?! I have yet to try.😄
Stay tune then!!!

Nespresso haul (Apr 2017)

Stocking up on my Nespresso capsules 😁

Kazaar, Arpeggio and Dharkan are my all time favourites. Both Kazaar and Dharkan are very strong and not too acidic. Arpeggio is easy to drink. Personally, I like traditional kopi-o so Kazaar and Dharkan will suit me more among all flavours.

Limited edition for this season. Nice packaging! 😆 (I have a soft spot for nice packaging)

1st empties post (Apr 2017)

It has been a trend to blog or vlog on empties nowadays. So here I am writing my first empties :) Depending on my mood, I may show picture of the product before/during/finished used. I would prefer to show the brand new product though as they will look nicer but I tend to not finished it *guilty*

(Left-clockwise)

Jill Stuart melty whipped body cream (200ml) in peachy white floral scent
Bought this during last November in Taipei. There was renovation at part of the department store so Jill Stuart counter is temporary and they gave more free gift for the things I bought. People who know me knew I am crazy over their product. Not only good quality but they very very nice packaging! This is the first time that I tried their body cream as I always feel that it is too luxury to spent so much on moisturiser for body. Haha... Guess I could not resist the temptation then so I did not think twice about it. I only use it after shower at night.

Texture: 7/10 - The cream is thick and it takes awhile for it to absorb. There is very slight or almost no sticky feel after that, depending on the part of the body. Suitable to use if sleep in air con room as Singapore is too humid.
Scent: 8/10 - Nice and light peachy floral scent, but scent does not linger long.
Result: 6/10 - While skin is moisturised, I feel that the effect do not last beyond each application. But the feel of using it is really good.
Price: 5/10 - Expensive as one tub can be finished in less than 2 months
Overall: 8/10
Re-purchase? No, because there are many other brands that I would like to try. But if I have spare cash and there is nothing else I want to try, I will purchase it for the packaging.

Got to know History of Whoo when I watched 女人我最大. The star product, Ja Seang Essence (aka Self-generating anti-aging essence) was recommended for its ability to improve skin firmness and to improve blood circulation. Bought it at Incheon Airport last year. It is way cheaper to buy from Korea than in Singapore.

Texture: 7/10 - Sticky and gel-like. Takes awhile to absorb.
Scent: 8/10 - Very pleasant scent which I like. Some may think it is too strong.
Result: 8/10 - Skin seems more "awake" the next day despite me having not enough sleep.
Price: 7/10 - Reasonably expensive if buy in Korea. Will not buy in Singapore.
Overall: 8/10
Re-purchase? Yes! Effective and very nice packaging.

Bought thisworks perfect cleavage firming lotion during Sephora 20% member sales. Felt that my cleavage seems to wrinkle a bit when the bust are pushed towards each other. Not sure is it normal as I never really take notice of that line until I saw some programme (should be 女人我最大 😆) that the chest area is usually neglected and by the time you try to salvage, it may be too late. So, that is why I bough the cleavage firming lotion.

Texture: 9/10 - Light lotion and absorb fully.
Scent: 7/10 - Very light pleasant scent.
Result: 1/10 - Did not see any effect. Could be I am not that serious (I am in my early 30s)
Price: 1/10 - Expensive as I did not see any effect.
Overall: 3/10
Re-purchase? Not in near future. May try again when my problem is more prominent.

Za perfect fit concealer is my all-time favourite and I had recommended to others and they love it too!

Texture: 9/10 - Liquid but not watery. Glides nicely.
Scent: 9/10 - Very light pleasant scent.
Result: 9/10 - Very good. Conceal well for undereye and blemishes on the face. However, the lines under my eye does shows when using this. I does not bother me much as I will usually fill up the lines smudging the area with my fingernails 😜.
Price: 10/10 - Cheap and good
Overall: 10/10 😍
Re-purchase? Yes, re-purchase for at least 10 years.

The soup spoon union / Joe & Dough

Had late breakfast today, so end up having early dinner. Wanted to have beef steak at Waterway point social square but their beef is out of stock today!!! I was very surprised to hear that as the menu did not indicate that the ribeye is not available so I left for another place for steak. So, I quickly head to the soup spoon union as I know have steak. I was told by the staff that they ran out of ribeye but the staff ask if I want sirloin steak instead. I agreed instantly as I am craving for beef steak badly. Hahaha...

Ordered the combo set which includes sirloin steak, chunky fries (1 side from the menu) and mushroom soup ( 1 soup from the menu). The beef is nicely done and is according to the doneness I want. Their chunky fries are crispy and fresh. I like the mushroom soup too as there are huge chunks of mushrooms. I guess the mushroom sauce they put on the beef is the same as the soup that I had which I regretted for not choosing another sauce so I can have more variety. The set comes with a drink but since coffee is not in the list, I chose bottled plain water.

Since the set does not comes with coffee, I ordered Dr. Joe coffee from Joe & Dough. I ordered the promotional set that comes with a small slice of sea salt caramel cake. I always like coffee from J&D so no complain about that. As for the cake, it is too sweet for m liking. Good that it comes in a small slice.

Total bill for both orders is less than $30. There is a 20% discount for J&D order since I ordered food from the soup spoon union.
